  What is Akismet widget? And how this is work.

  Akismet is a spam filtering service. It automatically detects spam, and spam links in your comments, and will block them, so you don’t ever have to see most of them. It is automatically provided for you on your blog by WordPress. The widget will just display the amount of spam that Akismet has blocked on your blog. Even if you don’t use the widget, Akismet will still work.
