Hi there,
http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-formats/
Aside – These are brief snippets of text that aren’t quite whole blog posts. Useful for quick thoughts and anecdotes
See http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/post-formats/ -
Always create your posts on the dashboard of your own blog at
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New
The auto-save works there and the post will be Standard post format unless you change it.Do not create posts here > http://wordpress.com/#!/post/ where the auto-save is not working and where you are creating an Aside post format.
To edit the Post go to > Dashboard > Posts > All Posts and hover over the post title then click “edit”. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/ Then chnage the post format from “Aside” to Standard” and click “update”.

I’ve had this same problem–created an “Aside” when I meant to create a Standard post, and WP didn’t warn me–but my theme (“Sunspot”) doesn’t give me the option to edit the format of the post once it’s been created. (There’s no “Format” option in the right-hand menu when I go to the “Edit” page.)
Any ideas? Someone in another thread suggested that people having this problem should switch to another theme that allows you to change post formats easily, but that seems like a lot of trouble to go to to change one small setting.
