What is canadaaltax.com?

  • Unknown's avatar

I see in my stats that someone clicked on a link in my blog called canadaaltax.com. I checked Google, etc., and this seems to be some kind of malware. I didn’t put such a link on my blog, and I try not to approve comments that contain questionable links. Do you know what is going on? I hate to think that my blog would lead readers to click on something bad. Thank you.

Actually, I checked again. It is canadaalltax.com (two “l”s, not one).

    Hi Katherine,

I searched your blog for references to canadaalltax.com, but I turned up empty-handed. This doesn’t necessarily mean that you inserted a canadaalltax.com link into your blog. Occasionally, malware can insert these types of links into your stats page or viewers that are infected with malware can cause this to happen. We try our best to strip out these fake links, but sometimes one or two may get through. Unless you see this occurring multiple times with the same link or with other links, it shouldn’t be anything to worry about!

Let me know if you need anything else!

Not a problem! Please let me know if it pops up frequently again in the near future.
