    I need the IP adress to have my wordpress blog pointed from another host.

    Hi, our infrastructure doesn’t statically map individually blogs to single IP addresses, so it’s not possible to host your DNS zone with another provider and create an A record to point to your blog.

    What you would need to do is set your domain’s nameserver to point to WordPress.com, and then manage your custom DNS records with us. Detailed instructions for those are available in these articles:

    If you would like to keep your DNS zone hosted with another provider, one way to work around the restriction would be to use a subdomain (sub.example.org) instead of a regular second-level domain (example.org).
