  WordPress.com does not provide static IP addresses, thus there is no permanet IP address associated with your blog. Why are you asking this question please?

  I would like to point a URL from an old site to our new wordpress site. I was told i need the IP of the wordpress site to do this?

  It sounds like what you need is to purchase a domain mapping upgrade. Follow these instructions if you already have a domain that you registered elsewhere, and you want to map that domain to your blog. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
