WordPress.COM does not have static IP addresses for blogs, there are over 65,000,000 blogs currently on 6 IP addresses – the IP address for your blog will change based on server load and maintenance requirements
If you want to change whatever.wordpress.com to whatever.com – that is usually done with Domain Mapping $ 13.- / year
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
If you want a custom email address with the domain name you have several options, some cost – some don’t

Domain Helper shows you have probably had domain mapping in the past, do you want to move your blog from WordPress.COM to HostGator?
-
I want people to be able to type in dangeloadvantage.com and access my website .
YES It must be redirected from (email visible only to moderators and staff) to dangeloadvantage.com at hostgator -

dangeloadvantage.com goes to HostGator now – but your HostGator site is not set up or configured – that needs to be fixed
Do you want to move your content from wherever.wordpress.com to dangeloadvantage.com on HostGator? If so you need to Export your content from wherever.wordpress.com and Import it to dangeloadvantage.com which would be a WordPress.ORG install of WordPress
To make the Export / Import work correctly you probably need to cancel the domain mapping so wherever.wordpress.com is visible on the web long enough to do the Export / Import to be completed.
When everything is set up correctly at HostGator and you have a site to go to – install a Side Redirect from wherever.wordpress.com to dangeloadvantage.com on HostGator – that will make any traffic to wherever.wordpress.com to HostGator
Note – when you set up your WordPress.ORG install on HostGator you need to set the Permalink structure to match what your blog was here – you can get help from the forum at WordPress.ORG for that

PS – If you install the JetPack Plugin on your HostGator blog and configure it – the staff can transfer your followers for you
-
Ok so are you saying what I need to do first is cancel the domain mapping on Host Gator web site?

Just to be sure, you want visitors to redirect from your WordPress.com blog to your site hosted on Hostgator?
Or do you want to keep your site hosted on WordPress.com and map the http://dangeloadvantage.com/ domain to it instead?
Looking forward to your reply.
