What is quick press?

  I always see this thing that says new QuickPress but what does it mean?

  Quickpress is a way for you to quickly put up a short post without having to go all the way into your dashboard and to the post editor to create a post. It is a trimmed down very basic editor with no editing buttons although if you know HTML, you can format text in it.
