  I could not find in any help section what Reading List might mean

  No idea. Have you looked over at Scribd for information on that.

  Scribd has only FAQ, no other help files.
  Reading List is founde as an alternative under Publish.
  Pressing on Publish seems to be the same as pressing on Upload
