what is RSS? how does it work/ would i benefit from it?

  i write a diary- style blog about my weight loss journey… should i add an rss feed? if so, how do i do it?

  RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication, and can be used to notify your subscribers when you post a new entry on your blog. This link to the NY Times’ explaination of RSS might be helpful: http://www.nytimes.com/services/xml/rss/. WordPress.com automatically generates RSS feeds for all of its blogs. You can subscribe to yours by clicking this link: http://sistersocrates.wordpress.com/feed/
