What is the accepted background white color code?

What is the default white background color most blogs use? When it’s black text and white background, I gather you don’t use pure white because of the glare. So what percent grey do you use? What color code? And for that matter, is the black blogs use pure black, or also toned down subtly?

Each designer choose the color and unless we are told exactly which theme you are referring to we cannot provide an accurate answer. Search the internet for hex color codes and you will find an answer to your question.

#FFFFFF is pure white. #EEEEEE is just off that and a very light grey.
I never use pure black. I will always use a very dark grey such as #333333.
You can google “hexadecimal color codes” and find a number of places with charts. There are only 216 websafe color that will render correctly, or nearly correctly in all browsers. There are 4024 “websmart” colors that render correctly in most modern browsers. If you use a color that is not websafe or websmart, a browser will choose the closest websafe or smart color to display.

Thanks guys. I use this http://www.allprofitallfree.com/color-wheel2.html because you don’t have to rely on a mouse clicking the thing. You can enter in values to create the code. But for example, what does this forum use, for example? Does anyone know that? This seems pretty much the norm.
Im using the P2 theme by the way.
