What is the best plugin to build a list of resources for my readers

  I hope I can get some suggestions for the best plugin to use to build a list of recommended/related articles (not mine) external websites for my readers to visit and books I would suggest.

  I can’t seem to find anything that will suit my needs, but then I also don’t know what to look for.

  Can anyone suggest a plugin that will allow me to build a directory (searched directories but none really made sense) that will help me list these links. Something that will allow for a brief description and external links and some graphics, would be great.
