What is the best way to embed star ratings for each image in a post?

  I am trying to set up pages on my blog where viewers can rate each image in a series. I am experimenting with various methods: slideshows or individual images, embedding the poll daddy short code in the image caption or under the image – all to disastrous results. Do you have any advice? Is it possible to embed the ratings into the captions? That way if the images start floating around as I add new ones (as they tend to do, unfortunately) the correct rating will always be with its image.
