What is the best way to publish short stories of 15-20000 words
-
I am working on my third short story. What I have done with the other two is to break them out into chapters and post each chapter separately. Is this the way to handle blogs that have 15 to 20000 words?

Why not post each story as one post? There’s no limit that we know of, but if you find one we’d love to hear about it. :)

OK, we have a problem. I posted the story as you suggested as one long continuous story and it was fine up until yesterday.
Now, today, it has disappeared entirley from the website and is no longer visible anywhere, not in menus or categories, anywhere. It has totally disappeared.
To make matters worse, the posted version shows as draft on my computer with the last 6 chapters missing. I have no clue where it is and need help in recovering it.

I see several revisions on that post.
Have you checked each one to see if the missing text is still saved? If so, you can restore the revision.

OK, that has recovered the lost file so I don’t have to rewrite 6 chapters. What do you propose I do regarding posting. Was the size of the post 21000 words long the reason it totally disappeared from the site.

I don’t believe so, I have seen much larger posts. I suspect something else may have happened.
Have you tried publishing it again?
