What is the best way to turn an iPhoto album into a wordpress gallery?

    I am investigating using wordpress.com instead of iWeb for a site I want to make. My iWeb site is hosted over a slower link and iWeb themes do not always look OK in IE7 on Windows (still a sizable community, I suspect).

    The site features a couple of image galleries (images of my collection of NeXT stuff). In iWeb, I can easily create image gallery pages using what is in my iPhoto library. I have found some outdated iPhoto to wordpress plugins (and dead links). My questions are:
    – What is the optimal way to get iPhoto albums turned into wordpress galleries?
    – Is there a way to preserve the comments created in iPhoto?
    I am still using iPhoto ’09

    First of all, we cannot use plugins on WordPress.com blogs. http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/

    In order to create photo galleries here, you would have to upload the images to the post or page where you want them to appear. There would be no way to transfer the comments. http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/

    As you have just started out on WordPress.com (Welcome!), you may want to spend some time with http://learn.wordpress.com/ and with the Support docs. They are very well thought out and presented.
