What is the difference between change blog address and add Domain?

  Hi, I just had changed my blog name by changing my blog domain purchasing from wordpress.com

  However there is a change blog address at the “my blog” setting. How different each other?

  I already changed by domain. So when people entered as “my old blog name”, what will happen ? The address wont appear anymore and redirect as my new domain automatically or some incorrect domain occured for people who has been following my blog ??

  Hope you understand what im talking about.

  As I understand it… Changing blog address is changing the address of your wordpress.com domain address.

  So say if my blog was evolutionofhatred.wordpress.com, changing blog address just means I can change to evolutionofwhatever.wordpress.com.

  However as you’ve purchased a domain this is a pointless feature, as when people enter your old blog address they’ll be redirected to your domain address automatically, that’s what the domain mapping is.
