What is the difference between the gallery and the library?

  I can’t get information on how the gallery and the library are different and why some of the images go into the gallery and sometimes they don’t. Also, I can’t post images on the same post in a medium size without them also showing up in the gallery, even if i don’t number them.

  The gallery is all of the photos uploaded to a particular post. The media library is ALL your photos.
