what is the function of a primary blog?

  i have several wp blogs and wp asked me to choose a primary one. what is a
  primary blog supposed to do? also, if i change my primary blog,
  does the cnange affect my previous postings (say in forum) and comments posted on
  other peoples’ blogs and link to the recently set
  primary blog?

  No – it is just the one that it defaults to when you log in – nothing more.

  The link here in the forum under your username is seperate from teh blog side. You can modify that with the “View your profile” at the upper right of this page,

  Well, also when you are on a WP blog and you hit “blogroll this” it is blogrolled on your primary blog, not the others.
