I’ve read about page views, visits and hits. I can’t say that I’m absolutely clear about it, but what is the way to tell
your blog is moving upward toward gaining traffic?

This forum is for posting questions about how to user wordpress.com software and features and associated issues. This is what the left side forum sidebar states:
Questions
The best place to ask a question related to WordPress.comI will flag this thread and have out Moderator’s move it to the Off-Topic Forum for you.
P.S. I’m telling you in the kindest way that I can that IMO you need to learn patience. There are many metrics to measure success in blogging by. The first milestone is to actually have a living and growing blog 1 year from when you started. By living and growing blog I mean one that’s frequently updated and has a community of regular readers and commenters who are growing in number. You see in many, many cases free blogs are started and 6 months later they are dead ie. inactive.

Thanks TT, I didn’t mean to post in the wrong forum. I will have to work on my patience.
And you are kind! Thanks for all the help you’ve given me.

I know you didn’t mean to post to the wrong forum. Everyone makes mistakes so don’t fret about this. The next time you want to start a thread go to the left sidebar. There you can click the link for the correct forum. :)P.S. Enthusiasm is important and passion for blogging on the subject you choose is a requirement for longevity in blogging. Invest as much time as you can in building an archive of unique content. As raincoaster advises … blog, blog, and then blog so more. :)

Ha! True.
I use Weeks, because I find blogs to be volatile. If you get in http://botd.wordpress.com under Fastest Growing Blogs, that’s a confirmation that your blog is growing MUCH faster than the norm on WP.com.
