Hi there!
Are you trying to transfer a
.ukdomain to WordPress.com? We currently don’t support.ukdomain transfers to WordPress.com. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t use a domain you already own elsewhere. Instead of transferring the domain to WordPress.com, you’ll use a domain connection. This lets you keep your domain with your existing registrar and point it to the WordPress.com site using our nameservers. You would need a WordPress.com plan to be able to use a domain connection, though. You can see our plans and pricing at this link. But we can help you choose a plan.
Would you like to tell us a bit about the site you’re building? What’s the site for, and what features do you need on your site? This will help us learn more about your site goals and share personalized suggestions with you.
Once you’ve upgraded to a WordPress.com plan, you can follow the steps here to add a domain connection and configure the domain without transferring it to WordPress.com.
Feel free to let us know if there’s anything else you need and we’ll be happy to help.

My domain is speedcamerareport.co.uk. I want to get a WordPress.com plan and then transfer that name to you. My current host says they require your IPS tag.
Can I have speedcamerareport.co.uk with WordPress?

As my colleague @aisajib said, you can use the domain here – but due to restrictions with our domain registrar, we are unable to accept incoming .UK domain transfers and you will need to keep the domain registration where you have it now. This is not an uncommon practice, so you can still use the domain here even if it is registered elsewhere.
To get started with your new website here, upgrade to one of our paid plans, choose the “use a domain I already own” option, and enter your domain information there. You would then need to log into the account where your domain is registered and update the domain name servers to point to your new site here at WordPress.com. We have more information on our Domain Connection support page:

I hope that clarifies things! Let us know if you have any other questions. :)
