What is the maximum number of images allowed per page?

    I got a warning that there was concern about the blog. It is a scientific blog and it is a private one, for myself only.

    I do have a lot of images in the blog and I have about 66 pages. There are more than a thousand images in the blog and in each page there might be more than a hundred images (all from Photobucket.com).

    What is the maximum number of images allowed per page or the maximum GBs?

    Can you exceed the maximum number of images per page or per blog?

    What is the maximum size of the blog allowed? It is not a paid blog. Everything is free. I haven’t paid for extra space or for uploading from my computer – nothing.

    I am just worried because I can’t edit my blog as I have been blocked from doing so and just want to troubleshoot what the concern might be before I get a reply (I replied to the warning).

    Thanks for any information.

    It is a large blog but I don’t know what the total size is.

    You can have as many images per page. It’s your blog. The trouble comes in when if you make your blog public, that many images per page will slow someone’s computer and probably crash their browser the way mine does when I visit Myspace. Too many pictures & videos on one page sucks the bandwidth. If you make your blog public, maybe limit the posts per page count to 5 posts per page. Thumbnails also help too.

    You can contact staff in the morning and they’ll email you back. Since your blog is private with only yourself as the only allowed person in, the blocking might be an accident and some sort of glitch. It happens.

    This has nothing to do with the warning, but I offer it just FYI.

    If you are going to use a lot of images, make sure they are optimized for the web and try and keep them under 75k each, and under 50k would be even better so that your pages load quickly. Also, at setting > reading, perhaps set your post pages to only show perhaps 2 or 3 posts per page so that page loading times do not get too long. Search engines take page loading time into account when determining search engine ranking, and slow loading pages will take a hit.

    Optimize Your Images

    Consider using the gallery feature here which will show thumbnails of images that can then be clicked on to show a larger version of the image.
