What is the meaning of the bell-shaped icon on my Notifications and Settings Screen?

  Six Months ago, I created https://mabuhayusveterans.wordpress.com/, which essentially is an ‘Information Site Only’ for U.S. Military Retired Veterans or, those U.S. Military Veterans that are within 12-months from being discharged / retired from Active Duty Service, explaining how to make a successful retirement move to the Philippines. Ever since I first went live, I have gotten as much as 25+ emails daily and, learned how to stop the incoming emails (likes / asking me to check out their site / following) and, yet today, I noticed the ‘Bell Image’ and, wondered what does this mean, as I still have checkmarks listed under it? If I remove the checkmarks under this image, will this stop anything from being seen by me via my Yahoo Email Address?
