What is the simplest way to embed music from a CD?

  I have just prepared a slideshow page and would like to embed music from a CD to insert as background music. I have burned the CD to my hard disc (Windows Media Audio File), but, for some reason, am unable to insert it into the page. I am a novice at this, so please give me some simple instructions or suggestions to accomplish this.

  Hi there,

  To upload audio to your blog, the music file needs to be in one of the supported file formats listed here:

  Accepted File Types

  You’ll need to convert the music files you have from the Windows Media Audio file format to one of our supported formats.

  Then, you’ll be able to upload the music to your blog using the “Add Media” button in the post editor, or by going to Media > Add New in your dashboard. Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)

  I am still having the same problem (trying to use a music piece as background music for a slideshow page in my website/blog). I have converted my music file to the .m4a format and added it to my media library. However, when I tape “add media” the text goes on the page, but the music does not play. How can I correct this so that I can hear the music when I open that page?

  Hi there,

  To add your music to the page, you will want to click the “Add Media” button above your page editor. You can see what that button looks like here: Add Media

  Then, you can choose the music file you uploaded to your media library. On that screen, you can also use the “ATTACHMENT DETAILS” section to edit the title, caption, and description of the file. Under “ATTACHMENT DISPLAY SETTINGS” you can select “Embed media player” to create a media player on the page so visitors can play the music while watching the slideshow.
