Help!
I’m trying to put adsense ads on to my blog following these instructions:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/advertising-manager/installation/but I have no idea what the first step means. I’ve downloaded and unzipped the file but I can’t find the wp-content/plugins directory on my computer or anywhere on wordpress. I’ve spent the last 30 mins googling it and I just have no idea.
Can anyone help? The wikipage is down too so I can’t look at that for help either.
:(The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

First off, user advertising is, except for a couple very narrow exceptions, not allowed on wordpress.COM. For the exceptions, see the last sentence under “Affiliate marketing blogs” in the bottom set of bullet points in the “types of blogs” link below.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/advertising/
http://en.wordpress.com/types-of-blogs/Secondly, plugins are not allowed at wordpress.COM for security reasons. Plugins are for self-hosted blogs using the software from wordpress.ORG.

Thank you. Would this also explain why why I paste it into a text widget, the text disappears when I click save?

The type of code used for adsense is not allowed here for security reasons, but even if it was, wordpress would scan for any such advertising code and strip it out.
