What is this?

Hi there, this oddity, an underline and then a circle X to close it, appears and sometimes appears momentarily and then disappears in the top right corner on various pages of my website.
What is it and why is it there?

It is an advert attempting to load. I get it on my site when I am visiting it while logged out. Sometimes I get the whole advert and can click the x to dismiss it. Sometimes I just get the x but it usually goes away after a few seconds.

As the the themagicrobot mentioned, since WordAds is enabled, that’s an ad that hasn’t fully loaded yet. Usually, these disappear pretty quickly.
