What Is This CSS?
-
I’ve been looking and looking for what kind of CSS this is… It’s a rollover that shows part of the post… also the image is used by using Featured Picture from the post and automatically placed in the grid… I’m looking for a plugin or CSS code to use… any help is appreciated!
Here’s an example link

That’s not a free hosted WordPress.com blog theme and we cannot use any themes that are not found here http://wordpress.com/themes/
CSS editing is done via purchasing an annually renewable custom design upgrade. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/
There is no CSS plugin. There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs and we bloggers cannot install any plugins. To have plugins you need to hire a web host and set up your own self hosted WordPress.org install. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
There is no upgrade you can purchase that changes this.

wow… ok… here’s one similar that’s in the theme contents

all I’d like to know is what is the rollover function… I’m rather new to this forum and have been scouring the web trying to find it
Thanks

Functions such as “a rollover that shows part of the post” aren’t created via CSS: CSS determines their styling only, not the actual function. The functions themselves are determined by the underlying files of the theme, which we cannot access.

Hi,
The rollover effect used in the link you’ve provided is achieved using JavaScript. WordPress.com users cannot add JavaScript to their blogs.
The same effect could be achieved using the latest version of CSS – CSS3 – but this will not be supported by some older browsers. If you’re still interested in learning more about how to achieve this effect with CSS, a good article to start with is here – http://css-tricks.com/slide-in-image-captions/

Thanks!… I’ll check that out
I really like this feature and I can’t see in the code what exactly it is… I know it’s called something or another and without knowing it’s code name is virtually impossible to find… Thanks again -
