Hi there,
Your WordPress.com site comes with a free address using a WordPress.com subdomain, for example: yourgroovysite.wordpress.com.
If you’ve registered or connected a custom domain and still see the free site address (ex. example.wordpress.com) when you visit the site, you will need to set your custom domain as primary.
To check which domain is currently set as primary, go to My Site → Manage → Domains. You’ll see which domain is currently labeled as primary:
To change the primary domain, click on Change Primary in the top right:
After, select the domain you wish to be primary:
You can read more about it here:

You would have created that WordPress.com site when you created this WordPress.com account on April 2nd. Was there a particular reason for creating this account? Many people like to manage their external sites via the WordPress.com interface using a JetPack plugin. You could keep the account and just delete the site or close account and site if you wish.

Hi there, hope you don’t mind me adding to this thread.
The account you are posting from is a month old and doesn’t have any websites associated with it. Your site at bbpaperpower.co.nz is not hosted here and is using these nameservers:
nameserver: ns1.openhost.co.nz
nameserver: ns2.openhost.co.nz
nameserver: ns3.openhost.co.nzThe site bbpaperpower.wordpress.com was registered in 2016 and was never used, so if you own that website, it would be under a different WPcom account to this one, possibly
bbpaperpowerhttps://wordpress.com/forums/users/bbpaperpower/If you own that account and wish to delete your website, you’ll need to first log out of this account you are using to post here in these forums and then log back in with the correct WPcom username account. Once you’ve done that you can follow the guide at https://wordpress.com/support/delete-site/ If you wish to delete the username account and all websites associated with it, you can follow this guide instead https://wordpress.com/support/close-account/
If you don’t remember the correct username or the email address and you had email notifications of new comments or feedback on your site, you could try leaving a comment or filling out a contact form on that site and then checking all your active email accounts to see where the email notification goes.
Barring that, you’ll need to recover your account following the support guide at https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/
Keep in mind that if you are unable to recover the account and delete the site, the WPcom site hasn’t been updated since it was opened and as long as you are creating fresh content on the site you are building at bbpaperpower.co.nz will quickly push the WPcom site down in search engine returns.
Although that was longer than I intended, I hope that helps too.

That’s what happens when I take a break for lunch and forget to refresh first. Sorry @themagicrobot

@justjennifer But yours was the best reply (as usual). I didn’t delve into when the WordPress.com site was created or even notice that it belonged to a different account.
