What is this “Verification Required” Spammy Junk sent by WP??

Please note: I have recently purchased a domain via WP. I received the following email shortly thereafter:

This is the most spammiest junk I’ve ever read. I’ve even emailed to verify this and NO RESPONSE of late. I’ve ALREADY verified my identity thru my credit card info, and I already have another blog with WP. This is unacceptable. If you are that insistent on suspending my account simply because I am not comfortable with this highly peculiar verification process, let ME know WITHIN 14 DAYS and I will call my credit card company and pull the charge AND my domains/blogs from WP. NO PROBLEM.
I eagerly await your response.

@judielynne, the email is correct. You do need to click the link to verify your email address or your domain will get suspended. And while we’d certainly consider changing that policy if we could, it’s bigger than us. This is one of the ICANN rules (and they’re the ones that govern domain names and what not.)
Your email is not verified through your credit card info, so that’s why they email a verification link.
I can see you’ve cancelled the domain since then, but note when you register it again, wherever you register it, you will be required to verify the email address. Good luck!
