what is 'top searches about?

I sometimes see messages like this one, in “Top Searches” next to my list of most read blogs this week:
‘phil tushingham exmouth theatre, kennedy/jury ‘inside this earthen vessel’, apulhed, are all reason tinking discuss’, they appear garbled, they sometimes refer to my words on blog, sometimes words i never used but bring in items relevant to my life, like phil tushingham exmouth, which nobody would know about. How can i explore who sent the message or if not the source, the reason it comes up?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there. Those are search terms people entered into search engines which led them to your blog. This merely gives you an idea which of your keywords are getting search engine hits, which can help in planning out your content.
There’s also a section in the stats page where you can see some of the search terms used that led people to your blog, depending on the search engine: http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/#search-engine-terms

Hi Kokkieh, Thanks much for that. It seems so simple but when you are in the dark it is hard to feel your way around. Your reply is very enlightening.
