  I am trying to figure out what is the purpose of blogging and how it is done.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Lots of purposes for blogging. To get your thoughts out, set up a business, or put out information about whatever topic you are interested in.

  How it’s done? Practice, practice, cry, beat your head on the computer screen, practice, practice……..

  Take a look at this: http://support.wordpress.com/getting-started/ for information on getting started with wordpress.

  As far as the purpose of blogging and such, hit wikipedia and search for weblog, blog, and/or blogging as a start.

  Or search for “what is a blog”.
