What is WordPress going to do about repeated loss of connection in the UK?
-
I’ve been blogging with WordPress since February. In that time, I’ve experienced two ‘lock outs’, one in March and one between 16th and 20th of this month, when I have been unable to blog. I am aware that there were similar problems in July 2013 and December 2013.
I am told that this loss of connection is due to action taken by the Internet Watch Foundation to remove child pornography from WordPress blogs. I contacted the IWF yesterday (20th May) to discuss this issue. They confirmed that indecent material has just been removed from one WordPress blog.
WordPress, in the person of one of its ‘Happiness Engineers’ has continued to assert that it has no control over these issues, and I wish to challenge this assertion. I have two questions:
IWF told me that it has not received complaints from users of any blogging platform other than WordPress. How does WordPress account for this?
Is WordPress doing enough to police blogs carrying its name?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
