What is WordPress.com database?

  I am trying to move my blog to another host. one of the things i am reading is that i have to export and download my blog away from the wordpress.com server. i have no idea what database the wordpress blog uses in order for me to create a SQL file ( wordpress codex). does anybody understand this?

  I wish i would of hosted my blog a long time ago because transferring my blog has become such a hassle. any help would be appreciated

  Hi there,
  First yiu hire a web host and set up a WordPressorg install. Then you install a theme and plugins. Then you can export and import your content.
  See these:
  export > http://en.support.wordpress.com/export/
  export/import links > http://en.support.wordpress.com/blogroll/import-export-links/
  themes cannot be exported
  text widget content cannot be exported and must be copied and pasted
