  just checking what is your service. I am unclear at why I am paying you for. please explain THANKS

  I have a small business and a website.
  And I pay a monthly subscription to askimet
  Just not sure why….it was set up by someone else.
  I am not website literate if that makes sense. haha

  Ah, Akismet uses WordPress.com’s account system, so if you’re paying for Akismet, you’ll need a WordPress.com account.

  There’s no need to do anything further with the account if you don’t want to.

  that makes sense…

  I just don’t understand what askimet is…haha

  wordpress is just an account system that askimet uses.
  I used to pay 5 dollars a month to askimet.
  I noticed today its up to $13 a month.
  I just wanted to see what I am getting for that $13 a month and to see if in fact I am actually benefiting from it =) I rarely get website submissions these days.

  ps thanks for your patience.
  on a side note, I recently tried to make a website…haha
  for my personal use. (I am an artist, when I am not a mother of 3 little kids, and full time small business owner) and tried to build it all by myself with godaddy it was just too easy. now I have no idea what to do. how to update it or add blogs….is there someplace that helps with that you can recommend??
