What makes Premium Themes "Premium"?
-
My blog is starting to really take off and I am pretty happy with the theme I am using right now, it really matches the topic of my blog.
But I started looking at the Premium Themes and there is one that caught my eye but what makes it $45? Is it fully customizable? Because if it is then I would totally purchase it.
Any help would be nice.

Themes you pay for are “premium themes”. We Volunteers answering questions on this forum have no more knowledge of their features, and how they are designed to operate than what’s provided in announcements and what’s provided here > http://theme.wordpress.com/
What we do know is that (1) CSS editing skills and (2) an annually renewable custom design upgrade is still required to render them “fully customizable”. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/ -
Generally premium themes are going to be more advanced and have far more features and flexibility than the free themes. You also get full support not only from the wordpress.com Theme Team, but also from the theme designer.
Buying a premium theme gets you just that, the premium theme and the support. It does not include the ability to edit the CSS or anything like that. To edit the CSS, you would still need to buy the Custom Design upgrade.
It also does not give you the ability edit the theme PHP script files. None of use can do that on any theme here, premium or not.

Like everything visual, there are fashions in blogs. The Premium themes are more fashionable than the regular ones; they have more features that are currently popular.
