  What pics can or can’t I use off the web? Am I violating any laws if I use a picture off a google image search?

  You need permission to use any image you didn’t create yourself.

  Creative Commons images come with limited permission to reuse, provided you follow certain rules about attribution and so on. You can find some on Flickr.
