I’m starting a new website for our tennis club. I expect it will be 4-5 pages including a calendar of events, online membership application and e-mail fanout options. So, would like the member to fill out membership renewal and send it from WP website to membership coordinator. Also, a feature where if something new is posted to the website, members are advised by auto email fanout? Is this difficult to set up and what package would be the best to start. Sounds like you are onto something special.:)
There are several ways to accomplish this. Here are my suggestions.
1. Online Membership Application.
There are many drag and drop apps that can do this, however, I recommend Jetpack for this. You can easily edit the form fields in Jetpack to suit your requirements, and you can add as many fields as you like. Jetpack is a WordPress plugin, you will be able to add it from your WP admin dashboard under plugins. https://jetpack.com/features/discussion/contact-forms/2. Membership Renewal Form.
This too can be accomplished with Jetpack. Jetpack allows you to add as many forms as you like to a website. You could also use a different plugin of your choice.3. Auto Notification for New Posts
You could use an email responder service like Mailchimp https://mailchimp.com/ for this. However, your website visitors would need to opt-in. Alternatively, you could use a theme like P2 https://wordpress.com/theme/p2 which has this feature built in. There are also push notification plugins you could use, they work similarly to email auto-responders in that, first-time visitors to your website will be prompted to opt-in to receive updates.Hope this helps.
