  Hello, could you please let me know what is the difference between transferring your domain or connecting it? Which one is better?

  I don’t have a site linked to this WordPress.com account

  So you own a domain elsewhere that you’d like to use with a site here at WordPress.com? You can transfer or connect. The choice is yours although you do need to have owned the domain for more than 60 days to transfer it here (or anywere else).
