Hello there!
Featured Images for pages on Edin are 1230 wide by 1230 high.
You will find even more information about how to setup Edin here:
https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/edin/I hope this helps! If you have any other concerns, drop me a note. Thanks much!

Hi again,
When I take a look at your site, I’m not seeing that your Featured Image is cut off. Could you explain further what you’re seeing?
If possible, create a screenshot, so I can better understand the issue. You can simply upload the screenshot to your Media Library, like any other image, and I’ll be able to access it from there.
The page at the following link has some helpful tips for taking screenshots:
Just let me know when there’s something I should look at, and I will!
The more detail, the better, as I’m not able to view the issue as you’re seeing it.
Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks very much.

hi,
i’ve made a screenshot of the site – front page, and you can compare the featured image as displayed on it to the original picture used for that featured image in the media library.
the size of the image is 1080*418, but i tried also smaller size, and even 1230*1230 and it cropped and stretched it.
also, you can see the featured image looks pixelized and not in the real quality it should have been displayed -
the cropping is on the bottom & top parts, as you can see – the woman in the bottom-left corner is cropped, and the man’s head is also chopped off, as the rest of the top part.

Aha!
Thanks for that image, it was very helpful.
The issue you’re having is that the height of that image is dependent upon how much text you place in the content box.
For instance, the image on this page is taller than your image because you haven’t added text:
https://edindemo.wordpress.com/Due to the nature of the design of the theme, that image will always be cropped depending on the other content added to the page. That is why Edin recommends an image of 1230 wide by 1230 high — so there is a substantially-sized image that can be cropped as needed. It’s also why Edin uses more ‘general’ images that can be cropped easily, rather than one with set boundaries.
I hope this clears thing up with Edin.
If you prefer a theme with a set header width, you may want to see what else is available here:

Thanks so much.

OK, this is the issue. i put a logo in the content section an it works, not 100% (still crops the image a bit, on the sides now, but much better.
but why do i have the same problem in all the other pages (all the pages that are full width style page) ?

Hi again,
There isn’t a way to set an image in Edin that won’t change according to what is on the page, the browser window size, and the zoom that the visitor is using.
Even if you set the image to look how you want it on your screen, it won’t look the same on everyone else’s. That is why it’s important to use an image in that area that you don’t mind being cropped in many different ways.
You can see what I mean if you go your site and then zoom into the page, and zoom out. You can also widen your window, and narrow it. Notice how the image always gets cropped in different ways?
This is just how Edin is designed to work.
Does that clarify things? If you need a theme that allows for fixed-width/height image, you’ll need to choose another theme.
Thank you.
