What smtp do I use when setting up a send address in gmail

    I have a domain name hosted elsewhere and paid for domain name mapping in wordpress and the other host changed the dns to wordpress.

    I have set up a forward email address to my gmail in the wordpress domain > email settings.

    I have successfully sent emails to this email address – info@ sunshinecoastrestaurantrevews.com.au and it gets forwarded to my gmail fine, However I want to set up a “send mail as” in my gmail settings.

    When in Gmail settings it asks for the smtp and has this there as the default:

    smtp.sunshinecoastrestaurantreviews.com.au

    however it asks for the username and password – of which I don’t have one (that I know of).

    is there any way I can use gmail smtp or wordpress or any way around this?

    Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance! :)

    Hello there!

    These instructions should help you set up your “from” account in gmail:

    Gmail also provides a support page that you may find equally helpful:

    You only need SMTP info if you’re setting up your email to send/receive through another email program such as Outlook. If you are planning on using the gmail.com interface to send/receive your new custom email address(es), you don’t need to worry about those settings.

    Thanks so much for your reply but it seems google has changed this recently so you can no longer use their servers :-(

    I am trying to google to find a workaround but none of the ones I have tried work.

    Hey there!

    Try this:

    Go to gmail and then, click to enter your settings, as seen here:
    https://cloudup.com/cO4E_gk-hhb

    Then click Forward (Add a forwarding address) as seen here:
    https://cloudup.com/i8WwRT8APPH

    Afterward, you’ll be asked to enter a forwarding address, and then you’ll have to confirm this address.
