What tag am I supposed to use to create Call Out

  I’ve added a new blog (OldFossilsLibrary.wordpress.com) to my primary site, using the Hero theme. I want to create the Call Outs that are shown on the illustration of the theme, but I don’t understand what it means to add a tag. What kind of tag? The only tags I’ve ever used are the ones that are added to a post. So what am I supposed to write as a tag? “Tag This”…”Call Out”…”Use This Image”????

  I’ve been able to figure out a lot by myself on various themes, through trial & error, but this has me stumped. A bit of in-theme explanation would be nice, but it’s not there, so – HELP!!
