What template do you recommend to start with for this specific layout?

  Dear CSS Experts,

  I’m doing custom CSS for a client.
  I’m relatively new to CSS.

  Do you have any recommendations for which template I should use to
  modify the WordPress site to look like this layout?

  

  The banner photo below the menu should change in every page. (so it’s separately modify-able in each page, and it’s not a part of the template for the entire site.)

  I’m currently using the Sandbox template for flexibility, but it may
  take forever to modify given my lack of experience with CSS.

  First off we need a link to the blog in question. The link to the flickr thing is requiring me to log in and I don’t “flickr.”

  For technical reasons that we can go into but which are tiresome to explain, the answer depends on the blog itself. We actually need to see it, even if you haven’t done anything with it.
