What the heck is 18.2 app?

When trying to add photos to a page a bunch of messages pop up about using the 18.2 app and I haven’t a clue what it’s prompting. Help! I’d attach a screen shot, but there’s no function to do that. Your site used to be easy to use, but it’s so complicated now. Very discouraging.

Can you tell us a bit more about the trouble you are having? Are you using the WordPress.com app? Or are you seeing this when accessing WordPress.com from your browser (Chrome, Safari, etc) instead?
Do you happen to have a screenshot of this message? If so please share it with us so we can take a closer look. To share a screenshot with us, you can upload it to the Media Library on your site, and then copy the image URL. You can see a video of how to do this here: https://d.pr/v/Fcnerp

I also published a screen shot of the mess re: mobile app 18.2
And, please know that the video you recommend I watch about sending you this information is not helpful because the print is too small to see and I couldn’t find anywhere to add the url

I wasn’t able to replicate that on my end when I tried to edit your post and insert an image into the gallery.
Are you also using the WordPress.com mobile app to edit your posts?
What I recommend doing is clearing your browser’s cache and see if the issue is resolved.

I do not use the mobile app to edit posts.
Clearing the browser cache solved the issue. If there’s ever a similar issue, ‘ll remember to do that first b4 contacting you.
