What themes list subpages when you click on the page?
-
I’m currently using MistyLook. I like it well enough, but my pictures are always getting cut off. So I’d like to find another theme that will a) not cut off my pictures, and b) list all of the subpages when you click on the parent page. For example, if you click on “family” you’ll see all of the subpages listed there. Are there any other themes that will do this? I didn’t know how to search for that and didn’t see a filter option.
Thanks!

Okay, clearly the links didn’t acutally work, take two.
And the particular post with the cut off pics.
-
1. Please post an active link starting with http:// to the posts with an example of “cut off my pictures” in it.
2. Please also link your blog to your username so we can see it and provide full answers to questions you post based on what we can see. Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Website‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes.
Now every time you sign into the forum we can all click on your username and your blog will be linked to it. And every time you leave a comment on a blog your username can be likewise clicked and your blog can be instantly located.

Thanks for posting those links. Are you aware that every theme has a maximum displayed image width? If you do not compress and presize your images prior to uploading them then the result is what you see. The maximum displayed image width for the MistyLook theme is > 500 pixels
You can use free image editing tools online to compress and presize your images to fit. When you do that the software and cropper will not come into play and the result will be properly sized images with not cut-off parts and/or smooshing, and no loss of image quality. -
Selecting the “Full Size” option upon inserting an image means the image will be inserted at the maximum width allowed in the theme you’re using (for MistyLook, 500px). In the page you linked to, the images are cut off because they are wider than that. This probably means you created the page while using a wider theme (I can even venture a guess as to which theme it must have been: Greyzed).
The best thing to do is what timethief suggested, because it gives you better image quality – see here:
http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/01/16/image-quality/Put for already published pages with cutoff images, the easiest thing to do is edit the pages to downsize the images: click on the image, click the edit button (mountain icon), click 80%, click Update (image); click Update (page) when you’re done with all the images of the page.

Thank you so much! This is all new info for me! So to be sure I understand . . .choosing “full size” will set the picture to the correct width for only one theme . . .once the theme changes, the width will not change to fit that theme, right?
Where can I go to find out the maximum width for the themes?
