  Hey guys
  I thought WordPress was a free blog site? I’m happy to register a domain name but not sure where to go from there? Do I still need to pay an amount with you each year if I register by own domain name? Xx

  If you want to register your own domain, you must have a paid plan. Only a yourwhatever.wordpress.com is free.

  Mmm I thought I had chosen a free .wordpress.com but the option isn’t popping up for me anymore. Does that make sense?

  It’s telling me I haven’t launched it yet and when I try to launch it it takes me to a page where I have to choose a name and plan amount
