  You are using the Visual theme. But you have not made it function as well as you could. You need to learn how to use featured images so your home page will display pictures for each of your posts.

  Assign Featured Images to your posts for a grid-based portfolio look. Featured Images will appear just above the post content on index, archive, and search pages at 326 pixels wide with a flexible height.
