What types of files can I insert to my blog???

Hello – I have created a blog about mathematics and I have successfully entered equations as png’s, but the my blog guidelines say I can upload .docx, .pdf, and others. When I’ve uploaded equations using microsoft word, and saved as either a .docx or .pdf, and then try to insert those documents into my blog, only the links are inserted and not the actual visual mathematical equations. What can I do???

if you want to embed the document itself, you will have to use a third party application like Scribd or Google Docs. Otherwise, the documents will appear as a download link. See here please:
