What Web host do you recommend for self hosting?

  I’m currently hosting my site on dreamhost.com but I really hate them. they crash all the time and i keep getting malware. I’m thinking of switching to hostgator.com as I hear they are pretty stable and I really like that they have free 24/7 phone help.

  I’m getting about 200k visits a month so i need a host that is robust but inexpensive. What do you guys recommend? Anyone use hostgator and hate it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
