what widget to add a box/tag to sidebar

  am I dumb or what? What “widget” do i use to add a html code “box” to the sidebar? and how?

  I joined blogfarm and you are supposed to add the blogfarm tag in your sidebar. Directions say “To add The Blog Farm tag, copy and paste the code below into a widget (for wordpress) or gadget (for google) on the sidebar of your blog.” They even mention wordpress widget – so there must be a way?

  But….none of the widgets seem to be for this. But I tried anyway – just about every widget option, and pasting the html code given, and it does not work. help? thanks!!

  of course, after posting, I tried one more time and figured it out! Anyone else who needs to know…I pasted the code they gave me into the “text” widget.
