my website is on premium plan. which costs around 350rs/month in india. how much will i be charged after my plan ends. will wordpress charge me higher cost as my website is already with them and i may not want to lose my website.
is there any chance that wordpress may give me some discount on renewal to retain the customer. or will wordpress charge more as i am bound to use their services else i would lose my website. can wordpress use such unethical tricks to increase their income.

WordPress.com won’t charge you extra. An expired domain falls into a grace period for about 10 days to two weeks. The domain can be renewed at the regular price before it expires and in grace period.
After the grace period ends, your domain enters the redemption period. Domains that are renewed within the redemption grace period will be renewed at the normal renewal price plus an $80 non-refundable redemption fee.

Hello there, if you don’t want to renew your Premium upgrade plan, you can also downgrade to the Personal plan and maintain your custom domain equityways.com on your WordPressdotcom site.
Please note, however, when you switch from Premium to Personal, if you activated one of the Premium themes as a part of the Premium upgrade plan, your site will revert to a free theme.
