What will happen if I do not renew the custom design?

    What will happen to the appearance of my blog is I do not renew the custom design? I did not sign up for the custom design, but did change the css on my theme initially, several years ago. Will those changes remain if I do not renew the custom design? If not, do I need to choose a new theme that will not need customizing?

    Any custom CSS that you have used will no longer apply to your site and the design will revert to the standard version of whatever theme you are using.

    So you would need to either renew Custom Design or, yes, find a theme that you felt did not need any customization.
