What would be the URL to display all blog posts, any category?

  On my wordpress.com site I have a static page as the landing page and I have a link called “General Posts” for all of the blog posts. The URL is *.wordpress.com/category/general-posts/

  What would be the URL for the link if I wanted display of posts, from all categories, in descending date order?

  The Display Posts Shortcode has a limit of 100 posts displayed.

  Thanks for the rapid response.

  I’m not looking for shortcodes to put in the body of a post. I’m looking for a URL I can add to the menu, that will get the user a list of posts, from any category, in date order.

  Can it be done?

  You can create a Page (not a post) and use the shortcode on it.

  You can also display a separate list for each category, if you add this parameter in the shortcode (and pase the shortcode as many times for as many categories):
  category="CATEGORY NAME HERE"

  The number of Categories and/or sub-Categorizes you choose to have is up to you.

  Yes, each Category you create has a unique URL.

  Yes, but if it is a long list, some may be on other pages (older posts).

  Because you set the number of posts to view on one page “x” number. It looks like you have set the number of posts to display on the home page to “1” under settings—>reading—>”Blog pages show at most”—>1
  If you want more posts on your front page edit to make more posts show.

  If you want an index of all the posts of all categories on your blog use the archives shortcode on a page. Then as timethief noted you can use a custom menu to show a navigation link to all of your posts:

  Sorry, tt and you and I were posting and typing together, so to speak at the same time.

  If you want a complete index of all of your posts, all categories, then use the archives shortcode.

  If you want to show a summary or custom excerpt of posts as an index then you can try the post by post shortcode. It can show more than just the titles of posts. But if you have not been making custom excerpts it may mean a bit of post by post work for you:

  some themes will display a summary plus featured image with this shortcode.
